Defamation of character

It’s always wise to browse the net for yourself now and again to see what press you are getting, bad or good. I see some loser who calls him/herself as EdMax but sounds awfully like someone else (Is that fraud as well?) has decided that my online references need a little salt – or something equally bitter. The problem is that by using my actual name, he is guilty of defamation of character and legally prosecutable.

It saddens me that someone would waste so much time libelling other authors, rather than honing what skill they themselves possess.
It saddens me more that You Write On would permit this to progress. A moderator myself, I spend at least an our every day (off and on) monitoring a peer review site (, the comments of whose members are not accessible to everyone on the net, but only to members. Perhaps I could nudge the worthy YWO towards a similar limitation.

That way, if some fools derogates another on their site, they’ll only be seen as fools of themselves, and not drag the site into disrepute.

No, “Edmax”, perry is busy with his third novel, a rewrite of his second, editing an online magazine, helping other writers polish their craft, writing and having short stories and poems published, and submitting others to waste time fulfilling your paranoid fantasy.

Seek help.
