DODGY SALES (continued)

Don’t buy cameras at CeX. Chips and scratches on lenses are not regarded as reason for return and they have refused refunds. Apparently the ability to photoshop flaws from pictures qualifies shoddy photography products as “fit for use” in their eyes.
Pssst! They’re wrong. A camera lens is not a windscreen someone can touch up with hot glue. A camera is a precision instrument and every customer has a right to expect perfection in the lens and aperture workings. Scratches on the body are no real problem with reconditioned goods, but the actual core workings of a camera is another matter.
So everyone be sure to check every item bought from Cex thoroughly before paying. It may hold up the lines, but better safe than sorry – and YOU are the important one, not the convenience of staff.
