The First Magi by Perry McDaid

The First Magi

Guided beyond Great Herod’s grasp
by the insubstantial host,
they came upon the babe at last
at first Christmas. Well, almost.

There was no snow upon the ground
to worry shepherds at the door;
just that star, and that great sound:
The Voice of God as ne’er before.

Something for Christmas
